Tribune Democrat moving to 5-day publishing schedule

JOHNSTOWN -- On Wednesday evening, a Johnstown staple of over 100 years announced it was cutting back publishing to 5-days-a-week. The Tribune Democrat will now publish on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.

Troopers searching for man accused of burglaries, carjacking in Indiana & Westmoreland counties

Indiana County, PA (WJAC) Authorities in Westmoreland and Indiana counties are searching for a man accused of multiple burglaries and a carjacking earlier this week. Troopers say Michael Aaron Whitfield reportedly stole a 2003 brown Ford F-250 early Wednesday morning in Blairsville.

Altoona City Council introduces increase of fire department equipment lease to 4 million

The Altoona City Council met on Monday night to discuss a plethora of new ordinances. One of these ordinances is the increase of an equipment lease purchase agreement for new fire department equipment such as pumper and ladder fire trucks.

Altoona murder suspect charged after 'shank' found in his cell

BLAIR COUNTY, Pa (WJAC) Authorities in Blair County say more charges have been filed against an Altoona murder suspect after prison officials say a "homemade shank" was reportedly found inside his jail cell.
